The Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada and its African partners will be hosting a mission of 10 AgriFoods buyers from Canada and Europe to Kampala, Nairobi, and Addis Ababa. We take this opportunity to invite importers, distributors, and grocers to connect with Eastern African women-owned and women-led agribusinesses this spring!

PRODUCT CATEGORIES
The buyers mission will cover the following product categories:
1. Coffee: conventional and specialty, green, roasted, branded
2. Fresh produce: avocados, mangoes, green beans, peas, pumpkin, squash, fine herbs, and more
3. Teas: conventional black tea, purple tea, herbal, specialty
4. Dried fruit and nuts: pineapple, jackfruit, macadamia nuts, cashews
5. Bulk commodities: sunflower oil, teff, sesame, organic soybeans, mung beans, specialty flours (plantain, arrow root, taro, yam)

29 March: Travel begins
30 March: All buyers arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), Uganda
31 March: Optional no-host tour of Lake Victoria
1-2 April: B2B meetings, Kampala
3 April: Travel to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), Kenya
4-5 April: B2B meetings, Nairobi
6 April: Trade mission ends for buyers of Fresh Produce, Teas, Dried Fruit and Nuts
non-bulk commodities buyers return to UK, Europe, Canada
6 April: Optional no-host Safari
7 April: Coffee buyers travel to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD), Ethiopia
8-9 April: B2B meetings, coffee, Addis Ababa
10 April: bulk commodities buyers return to UK, Europe, Canada

TRAVEL DETAILS:
• Buyers will be booking their flights from their airport of origin to EBB airport and out of NBO or ADD to their destination airport. TFO Canada will contribute a maximum of CAD$1500 (Canadian Dollars) to each confirmed buyer.
• TFO Canada will book and cover the cost of internal flights from EBB to NBO and from NBO to ADD, as appropriate.
• TFO Canada will cover lodging costs during the days of the trade mission.
• Buyers will be responsible for obtaining the required travel visas.
• Buyers will need to cover food and drinks, but some meals will be sponsored by country and producer partners.
• The trip could incorporate optional site visits to producing facilities and sightseeing opportunities subject to budget availability.

Travel insurance
Multi-entry East Africa visa is required to travel to Uganda and Kenya
Ethiopia visa – for buyers traveling to Ethiopia
Yellow fever proof of vaccination
